Rest Lab Sound & Light Installation

On February 2, 2023, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm, Krannert Art Museum (KAM) hosted the "Rest Lab Sound & Light Installation,"

an immersive performance featuring artist Matt Harsh, Urbana Dance Company, and Twoleggedzoo.

This one-night-only event was designed to inspire introspection and relaxation through a combination of light, sound, and dance. It was part of KAM's Rest Lab, a pop-up space in the Contemporary Gallery dedicated to intentional rest.

The performance was a collaborative effort:

  • Matt Harsh created immersive light and sound elements to set the tone for the event.

  • Urbana Dance Company performed live dance, adding a dynamic visual and physical component.

  • Twoleggedzoo played original ambient soundscapes, enhancing the meditative and reflective atmosphere.

The event was accessible to all attendees, with quiet spaces available nearby and staff on hand to assist as needed.

This performance was part of a series of Rest Lab programs at KAM, which invite the community to participate in immersive experiences led by local artists, fostering a space for rest and reflection.
